Continental Expansion Storehouse

The project is an expansion of an existing facility in Tianjin and will primarily consist of warehouse space for the storage of high quality automotive electrical parts. The building will incorporate inspection rooms, storehouses and office areas.
Cockram was engaged by Continental to provide an EPCM consulting service which involved the URS preparation and review of the design documentation prepared by a local Chinese Design Institute. Our service continued on into a full construction management delivery where CPL engineers were provided to the site to supervise and manage all site activities, including Safety, Quality, Time and Cost. The project was completed in January 2012 and achieved all client objectives.

Sanofi-Aventis Lotus Relocation Project

Located within the Rankin Park Campus adjacent to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, the 16,000 m²building consists of 2 five storey wings (east & west) of solid elements linked together by a two storey elevated glass entry pod. This project is a green-field facility in Hangzhou for Sanofi-Aventis designed to replace the current production facility. The site has a total area of 49,587m2 of which the new plant will be approximately 30,000m2. The new facility will comprise areas including manufacturing, distribution centre, warehouse, solvent store, energy centre, administration, laboratory and amenities.

CSR Gyprocket Project

Streets Icecream Factory Extension

Unilever’s Streets Icecream factory in Minto had reached its production limits after ten years of operation. Cockram was awarded the contract to design and construct an extension to the existing ice cream production facility building. The project consisted of a 1,500sqm building extension to accommodate the new stick line and a flexible line for Thickshake, Bulk and Viennetta. Cockram’s scope included constructing a new ring road capable to carry B-double trucks. We also provided new hydraulic and mechanical services to the new food grade extension.
Existing equipment was relocated and a new tank farm was constructed on a suspended mezzanine designed for low temperatures.

Masterfoods Manufacturing Facility Expansion

Cockram were the Project Managers on behalf of Masterfoods to undertake the facility expansion of their Wyong Plant. The upgrade consisted of construction works to increase food packaging and production areas in the east bay and de-palletisation of work areas. Undercover truck housing was constructed for the unloading of raw materials and extensive additions to the existing road network were also required. The works also involved the construction of a new bin wash facility, installation of the kitchen awning and extensions to the amenities building.

Tooheys Brewery Upgrade

The works for Tooheys Brewery at their Lidcome facility consisted of an upgrade to the existing brewery beer production facilities and utility services. Construction activities included demolition of existing structures, and construction of a new beer processing building, general workshop and cellar. New plant and equipment was installed. The works were completed while operations remained ongoing, thus minimal disruption was a critical factor throughout the construction period.
McCain Foods French Fry Manufacturing Facility

Design and construction of McCain’s Greenfield French fry processing facility in Harbin Heilongjiang Province, capable of producing 7.5 tonnes of French Fries per hour.
Scholle Packaging Facility Fitout

Scholle Industries appointed Cockram to undertake the general construction services for its leased facility. The main scope of Cockram’s services included: general construction services, local project construction permits and approvals, quality controls, program controls, construction management and safety controls, project completion and as-built documentation.

Lidcombe Ice Manufacturing Facility

Construction management services were provided for a new 1300 sqm ice production facility at Sefton to accommodate the needs of the expanding company.
The plant manufactures block and bagged ice for consumable use. This requires food grade specified areas. The bulk of the building area is dedicated to Ice warehousing and the warehouse temperature is -25°C. The project involved constructing a suspended insulated slab capable of carrying a load of 25kPa. Over this is a portal frame building clad with sandwich panel. Also incorporated are an office area and caretakers accommodation.

Green’s Foods Manufacturing Consolidation

The purpose of the manufacturing consolidation project for Green’s Foods was to consolidate all food production activities within Green’s facility at Glendenning. This building has the following functions: head office for Green’s Foods Limited, storage of raw materials, production of food products and storage of finished product. On completion of the consolidation project, the finished product storage area within the building included food production lines relocated from the other western Sydney premises. All the works were carried out within an operating food manufacturing environment where food safety and hygiene standards were maintained throughout the project, with nil unscheduled production outages.
