Restoration and fitout of a double storey heritage listed 1880’s  building in North Melbourne.  New building at rear, comprising of under ground lecture theatre, ground level amphitheatre, and teaching lounge.

Project works involved the refurbishment of a number of existing heritage buildings.  Some of the buildings were refurbished into PC2 laboratories including installation of temperature control rooms and a sea water reticulation system.
- Building 2 – AV system installation

- Building 11 – wet lab & temperature control room’s installation.

- Building 19 – demolition of most internal walls including asbestos removal, new mezzanine structure & roof framing,
new roofing, new walls & finishes through-out, new exterior deck, new internal stairs, new external
ramp & stairs, new rainwater plumbing system, solar panel hot water & general electrical services
upgrade.

- Building 21- New external deck access & AV refurbishment

- Building 22 – demolition & general refurbishment of PC2 labs

- Building 23 – demolition & general refurbishment of PC2 labs

The facility for SIMS is partnered with Macquarie University, University of New South Wales, University of Sydney and The University of Technology Sydney.

RMIT Building 13

Demolition, refurbishment and new structure and remediation works to the existing two storey (Emily Macpherson) and four storey (Ethil Margaret) buildings. The final outcome will comprise approximately 5000m2 of new floor space for the post graduate RMIT business faculty.

88 George Street Refurbishment

The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) appointed Cockram as construction contractor for the refurbishment of a six-level heritage building at 86-88 George Street, The Rocks. SHFA is responsible for Sydney’s most historically and culturally significant waterfront locations. This project involved the demolition and construction works to refurbish the basement, ground floor, level 1, level 4, level 5 and the external podium.  Each floor is approximately 2,200 square metres. It included the replacement of all services including a new passenger lift. Extensive protection of heritage features and fittings was required during the construction works, as well as minimising noise and disruption to both the existing tenants in the building and visitors to The Rocks.

Parliament House Catering Upgrade

Extensive refurbishment to kitchen and dining areas of Melbourne’s Heritage Parliament House on Spring Street.  The project was completed while Parliament continued to sit.

DSTO Site Rationalisation Project Stage 2a

December 2006 ($53.8M)
VIC – Australia

Construction works associated with four buildings on a secure Defence site. Work included general laboratories, industrial laboratories, offices, conference theatre, library and other general facilities. This project was completed in an operational Defence facility, with highly stringent security requirements.
